Arma 2 Combined ops is £3.39 on STEAM if you ever wanted to play the DayZ mod. Suspect the price drop is a last ditch attempt to sell more copies before SA is released.

Pinball Fx Humble deal is killer, I really enjoyed the one or two tables I got to play on with the free one that came with Windows 8. I'd imagine that the extra packs here will make it much more fun!

Rage worth a bash at that price?
I paid a similar amount ages ago and finally got round to playing Rage this week. It's shorter than I expected, uninspired (plot and gameplay wise), and it's the first game I've actually had to run on my [email protected]/7950 sim racing machine rather than my E8400@3GHz/5870. But it has enough interesting touches to make it worth playing.

The AI behaviour is interesting, though not being able to shoot them during some of their scripted actions is disappointing, and the graphics engine occasionally looks superb. The racing bits are thrown in to pad things out and add a change of pace, and they work ok as a distraction. But overall it reminded me of Borderlands 1 (I haven't played 2 yet) in that I kept playing without really knowing why. :-)

I'd agree with most of this but add that I found the consolised controls and lack of meaningful headshots a bit frustrating. For just over £3 it's not bad though.

I've wondered about Rage time and time again, but this time it's on as a free weekend - I'm going to give it a play over the weekend and decide if it's worth buying to carry on or not

stunning looking game ! big dl though 20+ gb so if you dl it factor that in if poor connection. its not bad but i got quickly bored of it and found myself not wanting to continue on. with some tweaks could have been truley epic . shame.

17Gb downloaded about half of it last night on my reasonably okay broadband...

Couldn't resist Europa Universalis 4 deal on Humble Store, works out at about £12.50. Doubt it'll be cheaper than that for a long while. Bit daft though, cos I have hardly even got into playing EU3, even though I have pretty much bought every DLC for it in steam sales. One of these days I'll actually play it.
