*** PC Gaming - Daily Deals Thread ***

£3.74 for Skyrim is a steal, not only a relatively new game but also one of the best RPGS EVER! Seriously is you have managed to miss/ avoid this game somehow in the past get it now, get the dlc too! Between console and pc i have about 500 hours on skyrim between pc and console that would make my hourly cost at this price £0.00748 . Once you are bored start looking at mods such as moon-path to Elswer ! Get it NOW!

Nobody mentioning the Steam sales?

Sleeping Dogs £3.99
Skyrim £3.74

And lots more - on until December 3rd.

Steam always seem to be having sales, presume the XMAS one is after this then easter... Not complaining but would rather 2 bigger sales than this many my bank cant take it!

Steam normally has the midweek and weekend sale which is usually a couple of games. This seems to be inline with the Amazon black Friday deal and probably to get people to buy it direct from them rather than buying the Steam key from Amazon.

There will, no doubt, be another Xmas / New Year sale as well.

Unless it's a fantastic bargain (like Skyrim) then holding out may be the best course - though I bet Steam will make me part with a lot of cash before the sale is up.

This is actually probably the first Steam sale I've seen and wow, such epic games that I want are really cheap. How much bigger is the Christmas sale than this? Tempted to take chances.

Depends - like I said if it looks a great offer then grab it - it may well be an extra 10/20p off in the Xmas Sale or it may be the same price - but I can't see it being vastly different for the really cheap games.

GMG sale starts tomorrow apparantly, in case anyone wants to wait to see what their prices are like in comparison.

Is Skyrim : Hearthfire worth it for £1.73?
Yeah, it adds enough content to warrant it. To be honest, there isn't much that isn't worth £1.73 :p

THAT SKYRIM PRICE! wow, just what I've been waiting for :D

Don't think I'll bother with the DLC for now, hopefully that'll be cheaper later on.

Do you miss out on anything from the main game by now having the DLC? or is more of a 'complete the main game, then do the DLC'

Just noticed a notice on the Fallout 3 page it says it's not optimised for Windows 7, does this mean I'll have issues with playing it?

You can happily just do the main story quest or side quests, etc. Like in Fallout 3 there has been a lot of times when I've seen something in the distance and you go off and investigate. A massive time sink.

The DLC is a nice to have rather than a must have IMHO.

No idea. It works fine in both Windows 7 and 8 / 8.1. Fantastic game as well - one of my all time faves which I'm currently going through again.

Judging by how the Legendary bundle is configured, it will probably always be most costly to buy the DLC separately. If a Skyrim deal comes up again in the future I'm willing to bet the same extra discount on the Legendary will apply. So you either buy Skyrim alone now for £3.74 and hope that the DLC alone comes on offer for 6.45 or less(80% discount) or just buy Legendary now. That's what I jave just done, and I already own Skyrim basic.

Just so people know, the Steam discounts will be constant between the Fall sale and the Christmas sale. This was stated in an email from Valve that was mass sent to developers with games on Steam.

General Steam sale rules apply, don't buy anything unless it's a daily/flash/community deal, or it's the last day of the sale.
Because the two sale periods are so close together though, even if something doesn't appear as a daily/community in this sale, it may show up as one in the Christmas sale. Therefore the "safest" way to play is to not buy anything until the Christmas one.
