*** PC Gaming - Daily Deals Thread ***

I bought an Xbox controller to play dark souls but couldn't get used to it. I found a mouse fix and I found it much easier. Im still rubbish though!

Dark Souls is great, completely mental and a good challenge.

Quite tempted by Rogue Legacy, Antechamber and Outlast. I'm broke, but might treat myself to one... which should I go for?

Outlast is pretty good for that price, but being horror, it's the kind of game you won't really be able to replay. Rogue Legacy is the complete opposite in the sense that you will replay the same areas over and over building up money to upgrade your lineage.

Overall I would say Outlast is the better experience (I love horror), but Rogue Legacy will last you longer.

NB: I can't comment on Antichamber as I haven't yet pulled the trigger on it!

Seems like enough hours of games for now.. :p
Hope I actually get further in Skyrim now, I've played it multiple times and never got past level 10.

I hope your not buying them all at once, wait till they go on a daily deal sale! The essential rule when buying games during steam sales. (Oh, and I would drop 3 and get New Vegas, but that's just my opinion :p).

Dark Souls should stay locked at 30fps as well.

Why? It's easily achievable to get 60 fps with the simple install of DS Fix, I've rolled through 3 characters in my 200+ hours of playing Dark Souls and I didn't encounter a single bug, even though the read me does inform the user of possible glitches as the game is not designed around 30 fps, e.g. climbing up/down ladders.

We have Autumn at the top as we are in the Northern hemisphere, apparently the image is flipped if you are in the Southern so that Spring is at the top, right side up.

And if you search for something in the bar at the bottom the results come back upside down. Bit odd but hey.

Hadn't noticed that, pretty cool as a little extra!

Changing the locked FPS in certain games can cause the physics engine to go a bit wonky, I think that was the case with Dark Souls too, but don't quote me on that.

EDIT: Didn't read above properly, maybe only with certain graphics cards etc.?

Cheers, went for Legacy. I've still got the likes of Alan Wake and Amnesia unplayed in my Steam list, but I pretty much always get good game time out of roguelikes.

Np, allthough make sure you get on AW when you can. The combat system is a bit divisive, but it's a great game overall, with probably one of the best set pieces in recent gaming memory.

Woops :p
Too hasty?
Tempted to shift this BF4 copy I got free with my new gpu to have more money for the sale, but I'm also tempted on redeeming it and playing it, even though I only played BF3 for a couple of hours.
