That's good. Last time I checked it wasn't clear as to whether you needed to spend over a certain threshold to qualify for the coupon, so thank you for clearing that up.
Just tested by putting a few different individual games in my cart, yeah it only activates the coupon with bundles.

To get the free games that I never play and Unreal Engine freebies. I've never spent 1 penny on that place.
I tend to claim any decent games they give away, though I don't tend to grab every freebie any more. I've made one purchase with them, as it was the only way to get Alan Wake 2, and that was great.

isn't that in general the ballad of the PC gamer? I have stacks of games on steam, epic,.GOG, Amazon/twitch as well as some on physical media. I dare say I have played closer to 5% of them than 10%

Yes, managed to grab Kingdom Come Deliverance when it was free and turned out to be one of the best open world game I had played in ages!
This is a general view on the whole Epic/Steam thing and the posts still being made about it, not aimed at any individual comment and certainly not Nate's.
IMO It's okay not to like something or even tell people you don't like something but it's not okay to actively try and convince others not to like it just because you don't, or try and shame them if they don't have a problem with it.
