Thanks. Understood that it was a gamble anyways but wasnt sure if you are atleast guaranteed one AAA game. Might not bother though as might not find the game interesting anyways.

no you can jump straight into 3 if you like I think lots of people have but I recently played the second one and its a very well done game with an excellent story & can usually be found for a couple of quid. if you play 3 first you wouldn't enjoy the second one as much I don't think

Just pulled the trigger on the Witcher 3 deal, my PC is awful these days (i5-760 & 7950) so depending on how it runs might make me scratch my upgrade itch i've been ignoring for 12 months.

Now just to wait for the 20 hours it will take to download on my ADSL

I didn't get too far into the witcher 3 but it ran great on my i5 750 @ 4GHz and 290 @ 2560x1080, only thing I had to turn off was hairworks and AA.

No, I played neither beforehand. You'll catch on very quick, easily my favourite game.

Sounds reasonable. Don't fancy playing 1 or 2. I jumped straight into Dragon Age inquisition without playing any of the prequels and that was ok
