I thought Legendry Edition was the one with all the DLC. I remember everyone grabbing before the Special Edition came out so they got updated for 'free'. I also don't think that update is available anymore either...
 
It is, yes. Nice time to buy it too, as a lot of the best mods have been updated to run with the legendary version by now.


I may actually do it. I have a love hate relationship with the base game. I do feel it's a bit over rated but I always find myself enjoying exploring that map. I never touched the dlc or even finished the main story.

I'm with Nate, Legendary Edition is Skyrim GOTY. Owners of Legendary got Skyrim Special Edition before it's release but the chance to get the Special Edition has passed AFAIK. They still sell both though, IIRC SE also contains all the DLC. This is the Special Edition.

IMO, if you've had a love hate relationship with the base game, and ignored the DLC then I wouldn't bother buying either Legendary or Special. That said, I've enjoyed my time playing Skyrim and I've not completed the 'main' story though I did always complete the civil war storyline.
