The steam spring sale is rubish as usual, but you get a mystery item if you complete the lv1 badge, which says it will be useful in the next sale. Might be a money off coupon or something..

I thought they always had sales rather than just an 'event', but did wonder why none of my wishlisted games had a discount.

Same here. If that website is anything to go by, next steam sale is in around 4 weeks.
I've actually just looked at the categories for the games in this event. Unsurprisingly under the header "BLAST FROM THE PAST", the first games I ever redeemed to Steam was HL2 and HL Source and CS:S.
The Cave, made by the guy of Monkey Island fame, is 80% off on Steam.

I'm just wondering how bad the game is if they are selling this version for so cheap
Both myself and my 19 yr old thought the campaign was excellent.
All that matters then, I normally pick these up when they dip under a fiver for a quick blast through the campaign. Never really touched the MP as it's not for me.
I've been playing through the single player campaign and am enjoying the futuristic vision they put together. I'm glad they tried something different from the recent real world setting.I'm just wondering how bad the game is if they are selling this version for so cheap
I'm not into FPS multiplayer but had one go and liked the co op 80s vibe theme park map which was a short of horde mode.

The single player is pretty poor. I had to force myself to finish it which is a first for me on a COD campaign. But hey it's only £1.99 take a punt and see, you might like it
