Are the cheap as chips RDR2 single player only keys on eBay legit? I have no interest in multiplayer so these would be ideal.

Yeh I seen those. Looks like you get offline access to someone's account to play it. It's not a key.

Thanks was looking at getting a basketball game but didn't want to pay full price especially with the mixed reviews, but for this price it's worth a shot

You basically just renting someone's account. I think I paid about £30 and only really played the single player. It's that good it's well worth the cash.

Those auctions that sell Steam accounts with access to the game are as dodgy as hell. They sell them to multiple people so someone might be using it when you try to play and get blocked. Thats why they say you need to be in "offline" mode before you play it. Probably illegal. See plenty of them for different games. Plus the other person(s) could change the password. Also risk Steam closing the account down too if it goes online. What you have to ask yourself is how did they buy the game in the first place. Also read some of these accounts are ones that have been "hacked" either little security or guessable passwords.

If you are the sort of person that doesnt like buying from "grey" CD sites then this sort of practice is even lower.

I don't see anything wrong with cdkeys. It's only like buy something from another country so you can get it cheaper.

Yeah, very dodgy. I only recently heard that this was a thing.

In all honesty you may as well just pirate a game as do this. The dev gets no money, and the scummy person selling the access to their account does.

Possibly no in the sense that its on offer at this price fairly regularly these days. But a massive yes in the sense that its such a bargain for such and amazing game, and there is so much there for the money!

I am tempted to give it a go as have heard good things about it. Do you know if I need to have played the first two in terms of any continuing storyline, to fully understand 3 ?

Not really but things do to in. Worth playing in order if you have the time for it.
