You didn't need the base game :) You could have added it and used it if you ever bought the game in future. Check uPlay over the next few days there will be giveaways each day, we're on day 2.

That list is indeed awesome if true. Still won’t get me on their platform though, got most on steam :)

Only one I would want is horizon zero dawn. But played that on PS4 Pro last year so will grab it cheap on steam next year.

I have, in the past, claimed the games via a browser login on my mobile phone. The launcher is not required to add games to your account.
 
Hmm, that Epic list is annoying. I can't imagine it will be right, but looking to buy Zero Dawn to play over the Christmas break and will annoy me if it turns out to be free.
