PC not booting

Gaming X similar to MSI haha, I just looked up the mobo and it seems a lot of the same issue is popping up sadly and all were doa

edit:

should have looked at reviews it looks like a load of people have a similar issue of just not booting

It'll be bad luck if so but best option is to pack up the mobo and get it ready for return, if bought from ocuk they will test it to be sure and if doa you can have a second one or opt for a refund, i said above asus would be good yes they are expensive but i've had no problems with any asus board i've had intel or amd

May have found the issue. Bearing in mind, they sent me my cpu on a small white box with foam, is it possible to bend them back ;~;

oh crap yeah that will case all kinds of problems, you can bend them back but you have to be extremily careful, too rough and you kill the cpu (snap off the pins), take your time and dont rush! use plenty of light to see what your doing, bend back each pin sepratly and dont slip

Going to go to the shop to try get some extremely small tweezers or something similar

the first 2 near the golden triangle, I was watching that video haha

lol if its only in one corner take your time and bend them back and before you install the cpu again check it's lined up correctly, you may not have alligned it up corectly first time around, ther should be a gold triangle on the cpu and a triangle on the socket make sure they line up and try the cpu, it wont need any force to install it should just drop in

Sadly still nothing happens, pins are all back to being straight too and it fitted perfectly aaah

you made sure to align the cpu correctly with the socket? did the cpu drop in, plus is you ram in slots 2 and 4, you can try one stick also in any slot just to check

i dont want to worry you but you could've damaged the cpu already, unlikley but with no spare mobo to test its impossible to rule out

FIXED. It turns out the mobo just had a manufacturing fault because the socket had 2 holes that had a layer of plastic on top which is why the cpu pins bent, cut open a tiny hole enough for the pins and voila, gpu spins up time to test it some more :D

I only noticed it because I used my macro lense on my camera on both the pins and the mobo to see why it wasn't fitting properly

good to hear its up and running, the actual socket was as fault? they haddent punched the holes to allow the cpu to fit properly? WOW
bit shoddy not to check before sending them out, it could have broke your cpu and cost a pretty penny to fix fortunatly not.

keep us posted and i hope it all goes well :)

Wow. And well done! I hope you will raise this issue with Gigabyte support so that other people are not affected. You should also do this to cover yourself: if you have any future issues you can point back to a recorded incident. I believe @GIGA-Man is away until the new year.
