PC Problem!

A few days ago i was on my PC playing BioShock, and the monitor randomly went off, still had power, and my PC was still on, and running but i had to restart PC.
It hasnt happened for about 5 days, but its happened again when i was playing CS:S i was playing and the screen went off, but the PC was running fine, whats going on? Is it the amount of power my PC needs because i only have a 450W PSU? HELP!

Best thing to do is check the temperatures of your graphics card incase its an overheating issue, even give the fan a good clean out.

Its all clean everything, its VERY new 4 days old infact, i built it on christmas day.
What should i use to check temperatures

Did your try Alt-Tab or Ctrl-Alt-Del just to be sure the game hadn't crashed?

450W should be enough for that spec but what's the ratings especially +12V Rail?

Try monitoring temps also.

EDIT: GPU-Z or HWMonitor or SpeedFan (for CPU, chipset, HDD but not GFX)

What make/model is the PSU? Use CoreTemp for the CPU temps and RivaTuner for the graphics card temps.

And its not the game that had crashed, the screen doesnt even turn back on, its like dead.

On RivaTuner it says i have DDR3 memory when i have DDR2
