PC random restarts

Nothing to be offended about, this is just pc parts.

Re the fans, I just looked at them and just to stress the point I like easy building and as few wires as possible, by choosing the ones you said. I'm going to have three times as many wires, I only have one using the ones I have for 3 fans. Have you actually seen how the Lian li ones slot together? There's no wires between them.

Also, I don't really get the scene tax comment, again, this is a PC. I'm not taking it out and about with me trying to impress strangers in the street.

Fair enough, yeah I know how they work :)

I use the term scene tax, as in charging extra for something that should come as standard, just because they know that they can get away with it because they're X brand - for example, what has been happening for years with B versus X series motherboards.

Turns out the GPU was faulty indeed, so I did hit a second problem during the initial troubleshooting. This means I haven't actually ruled out the motherboard or CPU with the tests I did.
PC has restarted since the GPU was away, I am wondering if there is something weird going on with the motherboard in terms of surging or shorting, which in turn damaged the PCIe lane or the GPU, because how weird is it that the GPU (hdmi port specifically) died during the diagnosis steps.

Decided to replace the motherboard regardless, if the restarts stop then I can put it down to that, if they don't, at least I have a mb I can sell on.

Notice these marks on the CPU socket CPU itself looks fine.

edit: All problems solved, seems the culprit was the motherboard.

@deviation I'm happy to report that when I rebuilt everything I disconnected all RGB so my PC no longer looks like a tacky 13-year-olds fortnite machine if the bios gets reset.
