Yeah I don't think there is any physical issues with my old PSU, 2 years old is still fairly new to me....think it's more to do with my set up, bought this PSU for the 3700x build I had which also included a RTX 2070 Super...since then I've done a fair bit of upgrading and think I was just pushing the PSU to it's limits and must be quite sensitive when it gets to those limits...all sorted nowStill a surprise with a 2 yr old psu? I'd say psu ..Sounds like PSU to me. It almost always is with sudden shutdowns. Other than that ensure all cables are plugged in correctly
It’s more of a case of insufficient PSU size for the current components. The PSU will work fine for components with lower power requirements.I'm glad the new PSU fixed it. Out of curiosity what are the first 4 numbers of the serial number on your old PSU?
2024, you thinking it's a bad batch of PSU's or something?I'm glad the new PSU fixed it. Out of curiosity what are the first 4 numbers of the serial number on your old PSU?
Not so much that but because the Corsair RM750x etc line of PSU's have been around for ages I know folks who have bought what they thought were new PSU's when in fact they were quite a bit older. Yours is in fact 2 years old - the 1st two characters are the year and the 2nd two are the week, so yours in 2020 week 24. Similar to Intel CPU's in that the 1st character is the year and the next two characters are the week.2024, you thinking it's a bad batch of PSU's or something?
Seems like a PSU issue or might be a power limit issue.
