Hi i'm needing some help in specing up a computer i'm looking to buy soon, i know what i'm looking for, there about but i'm struggling to find the right pc spec for the money. This is about the spec i'm looking for:

Intel Core 2 duo processor (faster the better)
2GB RAM or more
320GB Hard drive
DVD drive
intergrated graphics or a cheap graphics card
operating system: xp pro or vista

all of this for about the £400-£500 mark, i don't mind building the pc myself, so a list of Components or a system will be fine

can anybody help?

thanks

Is this an office PC/spec or what's the primary use? & you don't need other peripherals such as keyboard, mouse, etc?

based on the advice here is the spec i'm looking at, i'm considering using one of OcUK's barebones systems as a starting point to save money:

the rest of the spec:

Viewsonic VX1940W 19" Widescreen LCD Monitor £84.99

Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 64-Bit - OEM (66I-01939) £83.98

Samsung SpinPoint F1 320GB SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM (HD322HJ) £38.99

OcUK GeForce 9400 GT 512MB DDR2 TV-Out/DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail £36.79

Samsung TS-H353B 16x DVD-ROM SATA (Black) - OEM £11.99
