Pc stuck in boot loop before BIOS

unsure if you can test it,, but some boards have built in bios recovery ,, or there is the option to purchase a newly flashed Bios chip usually for about £10 and try that in it. maybe someone here with more experience in that field could shed some more light on if a corrupted bios could be a possibility.
 
Yeah I did try that with no luck.

I've now ordered a new motherboard, so I have a nervous wait now. Hopefully this is all I need to get back up and running.

I'm back up and running! What a relief. The problem was the motherboard, seems to be a common fault with some Gigabyte boards.

Not heard anything from Windows activation yet, but I'm assuming they wont be far away?

Strange that you should say that. I've had lots of boot problems with my Gigabyte board. I will probably opt for another brand next time.
