lol the screwdrivers were fine, i took one side off with ease its just the side with the fan.

yea i figured if i press from the inside it would click back into place, but they didnt. Tried many times.

Also when i first opened the case it had a lot of scratches inside too :(

and thanks.

Some of the screws can be a real pain, I had one in particular that just wouldn't budge, luckily I got all the others out on that panel and then could turn the panel a little to loosen it. Even with all that leverage there was a bit of a snap as the screw broke it's bond.

I love my V300b though :D

I got this case last saturday, and some screws are friggin' tight!
Ruined a couple myself, and they don't supply extra's :-(

Luckily I won't need all screws back in after I have worked on the case...
Aluminium screws fine, but black is black ffs!

Theres been quite a few complaints on various forums about issues with the V300. The screw issue has happened to many, even those using the correct tools.

Its odd that the buttons are popping inwards though, wonder whats going on at the quality control on LianLi's production lines.

The buttons do pop back out easily, its just a small issue they will fix in the revision coming soon.

The screws however, depends how they are mounted, do they go into steel hex mounting or directly into the case?

Directly into the case.

And as I mentioned before, some are ok, but some are tight in so damn hard it's not normal.
In the end I used a Philips type screwdriver to get them out.

Tried this already. Its going back with the mobo under the Distance Selling Regulations.

Give it a go, but you may have problems doing this. The distance selling regulations specify that the product has to be in a perfect resaleable(sp?) condition. If you have damaged the screws, and even attempted to drill them trough, you are probably not covered by the distance selling regualtion anymore im afraid.

As said the buttons pop back out easily, i had similar with mine and it's just that they haven't been put in fully.

The Screws do go into a steel (i think) hex but i guess it's the head of the screw which bonds with the side panel?

You should always use a philips screwdriver with philips screws where possible to avoid stripping the screw
