PC V's Consoles

I've only played FIFA 10 and Virtua Fighter 5 on my PS3. I can't spend hours at it either. I could literally spend all day at my PC and would happily have played FIFA 10 on it with a PS3 controller (which is always attached to it anyway) had it been the same engine as the PS3/360 version.

I prefer FPS, RPG, strategy and racing games on PC. Hell, I even use the keyboard for racing games if they don't have the old GP4 problem of not allowing you to brake while turning. I just feel more comfortable. I'd have continued playing PES 3-6 which I had for PC via keyboard too if there weren't so many buttons to use. SWOS was always a winner on keyboard.

You try to explain to a console fanboy how a console can only play at 600p after his comment on youtube this is the respone you get (genuine):
and yes i dnt care about all that **** because i have a life with frends and dnt need 2 build pcs in my spare time or no what proccesser something has or some **** like that

*SIGH* I don't care if people like playing console more than PCs, and I totally respect consoles for what they are, but I hate it when kids that don't know what they are talking about start saying that the, and I quote "online experience and graphics are better" on console. Then you try and correct them by saying that a console can only play MW2 at 600p whereas a PC can play it at resolutions higher than 1080p and explain how dedicated servers have less lag and they just go mental!

Just to get this straight, I dont have anything against console gamers, I only get annoyed when fanboys make misinformed digs at PCs!

Fanboys will always be the same. It does work both ways, too. An early post in this thread described PC gaming as being for the 'enthusiast gamer'.

Those days are gone sadly, in part due to consoles, I do own an xbox (purely for fifa), for me PC gaming is in a coma at the moment (sadly), I'm still waiting for BF3 or something to turn up but I don't hold out much hope, most likely it will be developed for consoles with restricted vehicles and small maps like COD and BFBC2.

I agree. My favourite game of all time is Half-Life 2. I've not long re-played HL1, HL2, EP1, and EP2. I woudn't be interested in HL2 on a console, it's a PC game. I'm doing the same with a few games actually. I probably spend more time gaming on my PC than the PS3 but it is mainly a personal selection of games from the past few years. If I was to draw a line and play only new and future games, I might as well just use the PS3

Well for me, there's too many essential games that I can only play on the PS3, that's why I have one. Most of the Xbox 'exclusives' I play on the PC. There's very few games that I can't play this way and only 1 or 2 I would actually buy.
