Swapping out a PCB on an HDD will only work in certain very distinct circumstances.
Even then it's not guaranteed.
- The new PCB has to come from an identical HDD, model and preferably batch too.
- The drive problem has to be isolated to the PCB

It is definetly the pcb. the drive does not power up, I tried a pcb from a different model sata 2 where as the damaged one is sata 1. The drive powers up not, but not detected by the pc. I have just found the identical model and will try that.
