Looking for an extremely fast RAID controller that will support four Corsair F40 SSD's, so looking for around 500MB/s and upwards of bandwidth.

Other idea I had was to go for one of the new PCI-E based SSD drives, work out a little more expensive per GB but suppose does save on space.

Ideas?

I get 530mb/s with the intel onboard controller, ive seen reviews that onboard can take upto about 600mb/s then fter that it gives up and your best to get a raid card but im afraid i cant help you with one as i dont know any

I would use my on-board but it is using the JMICRON chipset, which to say the least sucks balls. I'm running two F40's in RAID0 and am only achieving 295MB/s read with 290MB/s write.

I'm currently using 5 of the 6 Sata ports on my mainboard and if I could free some up it would be great. Could finally have all 5 of my 1TB drives in at a time.

What benchmark are you running and have you updated your jmicron drivers also what mobo do you have
