Pcie 4x to dual nvme?

Haha yea if only. I got the 5080 at what I think was reasonable. Yes it was more than I wanted to pay but what I seen others go for I got a bargain and with that I got some funds back with TCB which helps also. But honestly if I didn't get one I wasn't going to be too worried but I was extremely lucky. I had another 1 in my cart and before I got to the pay screen it errored out. Obviously someone got it before me. Just happened to go on eBay to see prices and nearly choked on my drink. I'm all for someone making a few quid. That's how the world goes around but asking double the money is madness. Makes it even worse is that there will be someone who will pay it sadly.

My comment was serious, it is the best solution to your problem and you'll have a cheapish cost per TB and a very fast drive.

If you paid £999 for 5080 you did well, anything above that you should sell it on eBay and get a 4080 Super, and get your NVMe upgrade free.

I must actually look into it. I assumed when you mentioned throwing money away I thought ah he's pulling my leg as they say.

I didn't get it for that. If I be honest I paid £1100 but got 10% back through TCB. TBH I couldn't do the whole eBay thing. I had my order in as soon as the 3080 was launched here with ocuk and waiting 10 months and had to take a different card than ordered and pay extra. Now don't get me wrong the guys were very nice at ocuk and was not their fault, they kept us all in the loop on how many came in and a rough position in the queue where we were. COVID hit, component shortage and obviously there was tons in front of me so I opted to "upgrade" my card. I know what it's like to have to wait and I couldn't scalp someone. It doesn't sit right with me. Yes I love money but not enough to scam people out of it as I wouldn't want it done to me.

Good idea though, thank you however the scalper life isn't for me lol.

If you read it again you'll see I got it for £990 which as you will see if not far off MSRP for an AIB card and with the specs of the 5080 I'm glad I didn't go for the weaker 4080s. The 5080 is (going by several videos) a great overclocker too so yes I'm happy enough with my purchase. I also have warranty, I know the cards history that is hasn't been used for mining etc, but each to their own of course. I like some security when paying out that kind of money. To some it may be cheap but to me it's a lot and it a major upgrade from my 3080. The 3080 is no slouch either may I add. It run 99% of the games at max settings still but I also doing a lot of content media editing which the 5080 will hopefully help me pump out more content at a much faster rate compared to my 3080 so that even is the car is slightly higher priced it will pay it's self off with time saved and time saved working means more time to spend with my family.

you dont have the cash back yet it takes about 45 days and its amazing when you make a warranty claim and they ask for it back.. you know hahah

also id love to see this amazing deal... i just don't see and retailer needing to offer it, unless you used gift cards but even then 10% is a lot
