PDZ0 rant

I bought the Xbox especially for this game but I have to say it was a huge let down, I don't know how it scored so highly in the reviews. Was really disapointed with this game, like many I tried my best to like it, I forced myself to play it but still no joy.

Even on Xbox Live? Personally I loved it online. It's also excellent on Co-Operative.

I played it a little online and seen most of the game through with my brother on Co-Op but it was the player’s movement which killed it for me, it felt too blocky when trying to aim or move. Also hated the fact you had to shoot someone 100 times before they died (ok i'm going over the top but you get my point). I was also let down with the lack of customisation options for multiplayer; it seemed to standard for my liking, you could not even select custom weapons you had to choose from pre select groups.

On the flip side there are plenty who like it, it’s just not what I expected from a next gen game considering this game was in the making for 5 years.

I do understand some of your concerns, it does feel a little rushed despite that 5 years development (you can see it was rushed from when it was shown, mocked and removed from the next conference and then realeased on final for launch in less than a year.

I found the multiplayer customization excellent, and the weapon groups is something they have used since the Goldeneye days.

I must be getting my games confused, I thought there was an option in PD or GE (on the n64) where you could customise the weapon group and choose each gun? Also I loved the training missions in the original PD e.g. target practice and the mini missions etc where by if you did well you could unlock new features / characters, it was a good break from the Story Mode aspect.

Playing 4 player multiplayer brought back some memories I guess but the game for me has not moved forward, just my opinion of course.
