Peaky Blinders -New BBC series, 1919 Brummie Gangsters

Not what i meant :p It's like i've already seen him play this character before.

I get what you mean. I also think the italian mob boss is a little too larger than life and almost comically bonkers which detracts from the grittiness of the rest of the plot, though the Shelbys more than make up for this I think.

You are aware of the origin of the name of the real historical gang aren't you ;)

Season 2 has been immense, I love almost oppressive darkness of it all.

I'm fully aware, being born and bred in Brum, when I was a nipper, you often heard older people call young un's who were up to no good, little blinders,i'm in Leicester now(since 79),but I bet the phrase is still used,as I have used it myself on occasion.
Cracking series.

Brilliant season finale. I imagine season 3 is in the bag as it seems to be quite the hit.

I really thought...
... that was the end for Tommy for minute.

I didn't realise the woman who plays May is Tom Hardy's wife. Hopefully they are both back in it next year.

Just watched the final episode. Wow! Superb series.:D Looks like there'll be a season 3.

So happy it turned out well for Tommy, really thought it was curtains!

So, Sabini had his licences burned, presumably meaning that The Shelbys became the more powerful gang? I was also expecting to see Sabini killed.
No doubt we'll see more of Sabini.

And what about Solomon and his mob, is he likely to stay in business with Tommy and retain his 35% stake or does anyone think Tommy will find a way out of that? Tommy is presumably going to marry Grace and not May.

Credit to Sam Neill for the brilliant acting, and for doing such a great irish accent. Likewise to Cillian Murphy, utterly charismatic and mesmerising.

Love this as well

Watched the last two episodes. It finally got going after simmering for the first four. Great ending to the final episode which of course opens the door for series three.

Genuinely thought...

he was done for, after what happened with a certain person in Boardwalk Empire, I no longer believe anyone is safe from getting killed off, even main characters.

Best thing on TV this year (and probably last), great story, some really good characters, esp. Tommy, Sam Neill's policeman and Solomans. Very atmospheric and dark, cracking soundtrack which in series 1 initially jarred being 'modern' but after 2 ep's you realise it fits perfectly, love PJ Harvey who was involved especially.

Cillian Murphy, Sam Neill and Tom Hardy are all terrific actors I could watch them all day.

edit: Not forget to Paul Anderson who plays Arthur who is fantastic and despite him playing a psychotic kind of character it is never cliched or OTT. Brilliant.

Can't wait for series 3.

Watched both seasons in the space of 10 days. Can't wait for the 3rd season. Didn't like Tom Hardy's character in the 2nd season but thought everyone else was brilliant.
