Peanut butter with butter ?

Hi, I have friend staying over, she asked for a slice of peanut butter on toast. She thinks it's abnormal to have butter or margarine with the peanut butter (as it contains butter) I disagree and think you definitely need butter/margarine with your peanut butter. Please shed a little peanut light. Butter or no butter?

I have butter on too, peanut butter dries your mouth out instantly so it takes the edge off that sensation!

Both peanut butter and toast dry your mouth out so you need butter.

Oh and you cant beat burnt cold toast with butter, peanut butter and bovril on. Only get that when I visit my parents absolutely awesome.

Tell her it's hardly a bizzare combination and peanut butter has no butter in it, it's peanuts and oil mostly, no butter!

I would never use butter if I was making something with peanut butter, that's about as weird as having butter with jam.

Indeed, we call it (literally translated) ''peanut cheese'' here.

ok my fav peanut butter options:

1)Peanut butter with Chocolate spread + Cold glass of mild to wash it down
or
2)Peanut butter with Strawberry Jam + then later glass of cold milk
or
3)Peanut butter on its own

All 3 options need just over golden toasted (white/50,50/or wholemeal with seads) bread (white and 50/50 best)

I perfer it dry because the cold milk makes it ll better
