My flat mates saw Nirvana there in '89 as a support act. Can't remeber where I was that night but the guy I still know from that time still dines out on that gig.Ten and Vs are both awesome albums, as is their MTV Unplugged album, I saw them live in 1992 at Newcastle Riverside when I was 17, makes me feel old.
I've had a bit of a deep dive into a couple of the albums suggested by other posters.I don't mind Pearl Jam, but I think that is exactly it, they are ok.
I've never been in a moment and thought, let's put some Pearl Jam on, whilst at the same time if a song of theirs comes on I will enjoy it
I reckon they are one of those bands though where you'll know more of their stuff than you think you do.
Ahh that must have been amazing! That was definitely my favourite era for them (before John lost the plot and sucked all the fun out of the band).Good venue, though. Saw RHCP on the Mothers Milk tour there around the same time.
Yes, a lot more so than when I saw them at Rock in Rio in 2001 - they didn't do any numbers off Mother Milk at all and only 2 off BSSM. Other than Flea, they didn't seem like they wanted to be there.Ahh that must have been amazing! It wasn't my scene, too soft for me at the time.
I was all Slayer, Megadeth, Testament etc at the time so all that Grunge went over my head.
Perhaps I should revisit the scene.
Same. But I do like some of Pearl Jams big hits.It wasn't my scene, too soft for me at the time.
