I thought that too. Also, I think I saw that the street that Alfie's house is on was called Micklewhite (Michael Caine's surname)
 
Great news really enjoyed the first series and so did the old folks, that should keep them quiet over Christmas :)
 
I thought this show was superb. It is most welcome to see it back! Should keep me going in between band of brothers episodes.
 
Just been rewatching on Bluray, infuriating that there isn't a pick of extras, the series is screaming out for some docus on design etc.
never thought i'd get swoony over a portrayal of the Queen, but damn, Jessica Ellerby 8-)

He has confirmed this is so. He is based on Alfie.

I do the same thing but no so far this week. flying out tomorrow hopefully.
 
I'm slowly losing interest. To the point where in the 2nd episode, I had completely forgotten who that singing bird was in Alfie's nightclub. I assumed she was a new character in S2 when she was in S1. I also then remembered the Jack the Ripper chap. In otherwords I've completely forgotten the first season.
 
So end of season 2. I really enjoyed it. I loved the alternate England setting and the nods to Batman. Bat mobile in the last few episodes?
Biggest faux pas was the London bus with the rear entrance on the wrong side. No idea how they got that wrong as, I believe, it's filmed in the UK!

Hopefully there will be a season 3....
