Pentium D 940 Limits?

Thanks!

My cooler is a Zalman CNPS9500LED, i would highly recommend it but may be too loud for your setup as the scythe is very quiet!

Im finding it hard to get a stable VCORE voltage as the voltage seems to fluctuate tremendously! Im on 1.425 or something now but in CPU-Z its 1.380v.

I may overclock some more in the future and im just glad the board is fine!

Out of interest what version of the motherboard do you have? MCH 1.65 or MCH 1.85 version?

I know what you mean about the fluctuating!!

I have the 1.65v mch version. Not sure how much of a difference it makes, but I'm not overly bothered. I'm happy with what I;ve got.

I just really wanna know if the P5W DH Deluxe is Quad Core compatible - probably gonna skip C2D now.

Cheers,

ICE

I have my 2.8ghz Pentium D happy at 3.5 :) (or I would do, if I hadn't had to RMA the DS3 it was built around- never got it back together yet) It'd go higher, no doubt, but that's a nice round number...

smsmasters, how much of a difference did you notice going form your D to the E6600 at stock speeds? (or did you go direct to overclocks?)

hehe , you gotta love the 65Nm pentium D for some mad Ghz lol.

What i was most amazed at is the low volts it took to make my clock stable...

and it orthosed for 24 hours before i stopped it :)

Nice clock mate, good to see there are still some "pentium D" vetrans around lol
