I'm fortunate enough not to have a "manager" per se in my current workplace, so I don't experience the following problem I'm about to describe.

However in my previous workplace, and in other people's workplaces I've heard (far too often) pretentious managers, supervisors, or what have you, say stuff like:
- "I need this by the end of play"
- "We must ensure a streamlined operation"
- "You must use your experience as leverage"

Who bloody speaks like that in real life? Honestly?

As said, it's just people who want to get up the ladder.

Business bull**** as I call it. Though I'll admit I talk a load of it. It's quite useful in the sense that no-one tends to correct you when in a group.

I use "by close of play [insert date here]".

Not too sure what's wrong with this, you don't use it when you're out with your mates because you're not at work and there aren't any deadlines.

:o

I used the "Going forward" line in an email to a dive company about booking a holiday at Easter.
I'm not even a bloody Manager!!

The shame. :(

"I need this by the end of play" (get some work done you lazy git)
"We must ensure a streamlined operation" "you lot are for the chop"
"You must use your experience as leverage" "get your boobies out"
