For renewals and changes of address, no don't think so. For the original application? no idea what I did it was over 20 years ago.
You need to get someone to sign the form and the photo no?
The person you got to do that could have done this for you too.
When I first got mine I wasn't long out of school and still knew the head teacher fairly well as well - these days they've long moved on - though for renewals it can be a bit tricky.
For renewals though I thought you didn't need another signature unless you was unrecognisable between your old and new photo, or unless you had a kids passport.
Sorry, I'm just a bit surprised, I genuinely didn't think there would be many people (if at all) who didn't know at least someone from the list - I mean how do you have a passport or driving license? Presumably you don't if you fit that description of not having anyone to ask. I threw in the comment as I thought it was highly unlikely to apply to anyone, it wasn't meant to have a go at anyone.
Not that surprising, people move around a lot these days. I'd struggle to find anyone locally to sign it, would have to post it to someone and hope they send it back.
I'm not sure how having to put something in the post is relevant to what I posted?
I'm just saying its not easy for everyone.
I take a little offence that an airline pilot is 'qualified', but an air traffic controller is not?
Because we’re awesome?![]()
