Persona 5 - why is everyone going gaga over it?

I meant more like renting DVD's and stuff to try max everything in one playthrough, the other stuff is ok. I'm always stresing about missing things because some activities can only be done on certain days etc.

Got gifted a copy of this recently and have just started playing, never played a Persona game before so I'm a little confused about what's going on.

Does the game open up more after you finally beat the Castle?
At the moment it feels like I'm not getting much done as the days go by really quick, I think I only complete a couple of things before being forced to go to sleep.

Yeah, look at the castle as the tuition part.

That's good then, I'm at the part where I've just left the calling card and am about to go do the last bit of that first palace.
Starting to get a bit more used to the style of the game now.

I still find the bit where you do activities to increase your stats a little confusing as a visual representation of your abilities, it keeps saying about a skill increasing but that star diagram never seems to change... I'm assuming a skill needs to increase so many times before the star actually moves.

Yeah that's right. It's a big game, you will lose days :D

I am now back on PS4 and think I should give this a go. I tried P4G and enjoyed it but didn't finish for some reason. Is this one seen as better than 4 or on par? What's changed?

Thanks :)
