i intend to buy N10 DPT reason being just because i can, it all about because i can afford to sure its only me that it only knows what it actually means but just because i can why not.

Has anyone got the link to that online place that sells reg plates (not the reg but the physical plate).. someone posted it about 2-3 weeks ago.. can't find it on search

Be aware you cant buy proper legal plates online anymore.

Why would it be illegal to get plates online (assuming they are the correct font/spacing etc)?

In the UK, number plate suppliers must be registered, and must also print their postal code etc on the plate. Online suppliers based outside the UK do not do this.

But it is not illegal to put plates without the postcode etc on your car as long as they conform to the main requirements - simply illegal to sell them in this country.

Whats the best sites to see if you can create a custom plate and if its a availalb? Links would be appreciated

Go to the DVLA's homepage and do a search, or go to newreg.co.uk or something similar, you can can search on words and it'll bring back results for you.

My dad had a pile of cash burning a hole in his pocket so he bought himself a plate with his initials. Its a fairly standard plate, L400 and his initials. Then he found L400 and my initials so I got a present one day

Now he's waiting for L400 and mums initials too :rolleyes:

I don't really mind that no one knows what it means. You can tell its a private plate if you care as they didn't make my car in the L reg years. It was a pressie from my dad so I appreciate it. Only thing is, if I need to sell my car, I'm restricted to buying another that is L reg or younger. Shame as I want a classic Mini or a Mk1 MR2 :/ ALso, I'm going to have to marry someone with the same initial surname as me hehe.
