Personal Reg Plates

re the CS nope I can't see a huge point in it either

The point in the CS is blatantly obvious - its the run out model. Manufacturers always do things like this when a car is ending its production life, makes it a little more appealing in its dying hours and gets rid of a load of spare stuff kicking around the factory.

yep that is normal practise but the the new M3 likely to horrifically ugly then I wouldn't have thought sales of the current one would be suffering too much :p

Hate to think what the new one is going to look like, still note keen on the new shape 3s, hopefully they will grow on me (as I fancy an M3 next).

I think the new stlye of BMW's look better on 5 series and larger cars. I hate the new style of the 3 series. Dont want to think what the M3 is gunner look like.

Digging a thread up, but has anyone ever been to a DVLA Auction?

Was browsing number plates and turns out the plate perfect for me is coming up for auction soon, so was just wondering how far these go over their reserve and what not and just peoples experiences.......

You also get nnnannn where a can be D or X. These are diplomatic plates. Don't get hit by a car wearing these as there is nothing you can do about it other than claim on your own insurance.

That sounds like an urban myth to me.

You're a year younger than me and you own your own company? Good on you!
Not quite :D

I am finishing college this year (just in case so I dont have just GCSE's) and then I take over from my dad (after a fwe years having learnt all the stuff) with my brother following a few years later. I am a director in it though.

My grandad set it up in 1964, my dad took it over in '76 I think and has been running it till now.

I think if my dad was gonna give me a company id probably take it on too.

I go to a public school, and the amount of people that don't have a clue what their parents do for a living is unbelievable. I find it gobsmacking when people say "he works for a company" er, yeah, which company? ....

I dont think there is a S4M33R but saw a S4MEE for £5k. Otherwise plenty of SAM for £1K.

Actually I have relatives well-off enough for hte whole family to have personalised plates. The dad has stg with DAD in and the mum has MUM in i think. All nioce motors too.
