Personalised number plates and snobbery?

The same people strut around in Jack Wills lounge pants and Abercrombie hoodies with a fag hanging out their mouth thinking they own the place. It's a disgusting trend to be honest :rolleyes:

Oh really! I don't even know how to strut and don't smoke thanks and the only thing I have with a hoody is a jogging tshirt and leather jacket!

My plate only cost 250 from DVLA and coincidently the first 3 letters are my first name abbreviated and last 3 my last name abbreviated - Thanks to Tom for that (I think it was him who pointed that one out!).

Hides the car's age and makes it look MUCH nicer from front and back and people who know my name always ask how much it was often responding "...is that all!"

You have to remember it's with you for life as well and a good plate will look good on any modern car tbh.

meh, I have more things to worry about than people with expensive registrations, let people do what they want with their money.

You are making the assumption that people buy a plate to create an impression, but many people buy personalised plates as it means something to them
If a little alphanumeric string means something to you then write it on a piece of paper and stick it in your pocket.

My godfather gave out XXN (letter letter number) to all his kids when they turned 17, He has XX1 through 7 so I'm sure it cost him a fortune. Not sure how much they cost but I'm sure it was a lot.

Just seen this on another forum...class...

Just wondering theres an old guy in a volvo who goes around bletchley with;

BIG__8_8_39 (iirc) what should the spacing actually be?

Dont normally like/dislike private plates however I think he looks like a tit

BIG 8839. It's not a private plate, it's a Northern Irish plate. Using one as a private plate is the most tacky thing you can possibly do, ever.
