pesto!

Pesto is amazing! Simple but tastes brilliant.

Make your own pizza, don't put a tomato base but whack a load of pesto on. It's the best.

Exactly what I was going to say!

If any of you have access to Costco, get that Pesto from there as it's by far the best and it's genuine Italian stuff. Mix it in with some Ravioli and you're good to go. Tastes amazing on Pizza too.

Meh, for sandwiches, nothing beats garlic butter + cheese.

I like it with Edam. Cut the butter and edam up into blocks, place between 3 slices of bread, wrap it up with a kitchen tissue, microwave until melted but before it starts steaming, and perfect :)

i'm thinking of one of these tonight

what type of cheese is that and also what type of tomatoes are topping?

also how long in oven for that lot :)

It's mozzarella cheese and look like cherry tomatoes.

Cooking time depends on thickness of your base and how good your oven is. I use a stone in an oven which reaches >270 degrees, I and I have thin bases so take ~ 3 mins. ~240 degrees normal thickness base prob 7 - 8 mins at a guess. Just keep an eye on it.

I've never had a supermarket premium brand food before that tasted horrific :p

(Extra Special, Taste The Difference, The Best etc etc).

The problem with that stuff is that once you try it, you cant go back to eating normal food :(

thanks for the reply picked up the ingredients but i cheated with an already made base (tesco had an offer on a stone baked margharita) and here is my effort...

the margharita base topping was so skimpy i just spread a good layer of green pesto on the top followed by a whole chopped fresh mozarella (another first purchase!) added sliced vine ripened cherrry tomatoes and chopped yellow pepper. sprinkled italian seasoning and a good few grinds black pepper.

10minutes in oven and very impressed with the results though I look forward to making my own base next using Razor-BladE recipes above (thankyou) :)
