I used to have a pet newt.
He was called Tiny.
Because he was my newt.

Have you had any pets with appropriate names?

Our Cat is called 'Gato'. Which is just Cat in Spanish.

Neither of us talk Spanish and our old Spanish neighbours pointed out Gato is the male version and our cat is a female

my friend had a pet dog called Spot, which didn't have any spots
Her other dog called Eddie did have spots..

When quizzed about this wierd naming convention... well we got Spot first, then we got Eddie.

Our dog is called Ivy & it gets called......

Although, i dont think this would apply to a pet newt.

We have two cats called Maverick and Goose. If I got some Geese I’d name them after Red Dwarf characters and have a cat named Goose and a Goose named Cat.
