Chester the labrador - named as we got him the same weekend we saw Linkin Park live for the first time.
Charlie the Border Collie - just the name he had from the shelter.

Mu and Jeeves the cats. Both black & white. One like a friesian cow, one looked like he was wearing a bow-tie.

Now we have Jack the Cockapoo. Kids named him as they were on a Jack Black movie spree at the time. Shallow, but it's their dog so <shrug>

I used to have a pure bread Siamese chocolate point who was a little monster, very noisy and provocative but extremely friendly and social. I named her Ling Ling after the oriental character in the animated show Drawn Together, where Ling Ling is an Asian trading card battle monster.
