Pet Rabbit killed :-(

Tis never nice to lose a pet, our dog died 6months ago :( but weve got a golden lab puppy atm which is keeping us busy.

it could be a cat, my cats brought home fully grown rabbits before. after hearing her trying to carry one through our catflap :P

Sounds like a fox attack, when I was a kid we had chickens in a run in the back garden, fox got in, killed them all but took only one, they are natures murderers, kill for the sake of killing and not eating.

All foxes must hang!

Would someone like to see a cute little rabbit like this deed? :(

Apparently cats can sometimes kill rabbits as well.

My Cat is a Bunny muncher.

I've never seen a fox this close up before. Don't they usually just bolt when people approach them?

I frequently goto a site in Essex which has plenty of Foxes raoming about, if you don't keep your Cab door shut, they get in with you!

They are extremely tame, and used to drivers & staff at the site feeding them.

Once in a while, they will sit infront of the truck, blocking your way, happily ignoring you on the horn! - Drive at them and they always move in the end.... :D

They have a nasty bite mind, pretty daft of me to be expecting them all to take food gently from my hand........ :o

Fox or Dog really, we lock up our Chickens and Ducks at night to stop it happening, but the Urban Fox's don't really wait until nighttime because they're less scared by human contact.

I remember one assembly in particular at high school where an elderly gentleman with a fox visited, and he did a long talk on fox's and how he hand reared the one he had brought along. A few of us were aloud "one at a time" to go up and stroke the fox. Its amazing how domesticated this fox was it was almost like a dog, really liked to be stroked:cool:

At least once a month I open my door in the morning to find that my cats have brought in a rabbit, usually with its head ripped off and placed neatly next to the body. That's when they go from being 'our' cats to being 'her' cats.

EDIT - our garden in completely fenced in, meaning that the cats have to carry the carcass over a 6 foot fence to get to the door.

Deffo a fox imho.
A few years back I was fishing a local lake and heard a big commotion round the corner where I knew the resident swans had built their nest. I went round to see what was going on and not ten metres from me saw a fox scamper by with the swans head in its mouth, and this was in broad daylight:eek:

WTF! But I though a swan could break a man's leg!?
