Petrol filler caps

Cap on the right of my BM but I just go to which ever pump if free, not exactly hard to reach across. Other than big vans/lorries are there actually any cars where you can't reach across?

My Leon's is on the right. I'll use the 'wrong' side if the queues are big, it's not hard, and i'll just pull forward a bit and take it round the back of the car :)

Mines on the right hand side, I'll use any side of the pump, even if its got to be pulled across it doesnt really touch the car (small hatch).

Filler cap is almost always opposite side to the exhaust (back box).

my MG must be the exception to this rule as well then :o

two exausts, one filler cap

I guess it would make sense for UK/Jap car's to be on the left and US / Euro boxes to be on the right but the car trade is so multinational now all stations have to cater for both sides.

I saw a petrol station in scotland a few years ago that could only take one car and would only fill that car from one side (the left iirc), I freaked the attendant out by tring to fill my own car up

My Mondeo's is on the right.

Despite it being a reasonable sized car I am yet to find a pump which won't reach round.

It really annoys me that sometimes half the pumps will be sat unused but you can' get to them for everyone in their little cars queueing to use the filler on the "correct" side.

Both my A3 and Elise are on the off-side. I usually just wait until I can drive in to a pump with the nozzle on the correct side, because I'm lazy.

VTR pertol cap on the right (drivers side) and backbox on the left. :)

I always wait for a pump that is at the correct side as i cba risking damaging my car when i could just wait 2 mins. :)

Saloon Saab is on the passenger side. Hatchback Saab is on the driver's side. The metro is on the driver's side I think.

I use either side for the pump as it's not exactly a challenge to hold it away from the body.
