petrol prices

Stop trolling :p

He is right though, even driving a gas guzzler like mine its still a very cost effective way to travel when compared with other means.

I am commuting 120 mile round trip at the moment, every day, cross country. For this i use 5 gallons of fuel in the mercedes @ 24mpg average.

Less than £25 per day in fuel, to get to work in a huge luxury barge 120 mile round trip away, at my convinience. I am not whinging at that, i'd prefer it to be cheaper obviously, but its not at the point where i will moan.

its nuts ,bought my car 4 months ago was costing £44 to brim a few weeks ago £50 ,last night £55 ,lasts me a week and I don't use it to get to work ,I get about 212 miles out of it @ £1.12 litre think thats about 25 miles a gallon anyone concur !

In the 1970s, beer was about 11p per pint or 19p per litre (Carling), 4 star fuel was about 40p a gallon (8.8p per litre).

Nowadays, it is around £2.60 a pint of Carling, and £1.15 (depends where you look).

Why is no one complaining about the price of beer?

It's a luxury, not a necessity.

Don't like the price, don't drink!

Stupid variances though. I filled up on Sunday at a nearby Asda - I paid 122.9 for diesel. All the rest of the local stations were at 129.9. A day later they are now at 131 :O

can i ask a silly question? I heard on news today that ME oil supplying countries limit there output to the world.... which pushes costs up

why is that?

also saying that i guess america do the same with there massive reserves they "only just found" (yet have know about since the 70s).

I guess if they all hold there oil in till theres almost none left they would get more money?

hmm did i answer my own question? lol
