PFA Player & Young Player of the Year

I think it's done earlier than March though, which kind of explains a few (Mata wasn't consistent under AVB, Silva looked phenomenal at the start of the season, as did Aguero).

RvP/Ag.

And Tom Ba wouldn't be on the list! They only ever nominate top 4 players, god only knows how Hart got in ahead of Krul or how Krul didn't make that list at all. He has Ben phenomenal this season.

To be fair, I'd also have Szczesny in ahead of Hart, so it's not just that Krul isn't in the top 4, it's that Hart is a capable 'keeper and is English, so everyone has a stonk on for him.

Got to go with the majority and say RVP for the main one, will be a travesty if he doesnt win it and Aguero for the young player award.

Surprised Szczesny isnt in the list, hes been superb for us this season.

No other player has had the singular impact that Robin Van has had. Objectively there is no argument. Arsenal are third in the league and when all else was falling apart he scored goal after goal. Player of the season by a long shot...... Surprised Valencia hasn't got a shortlist cos I think he has been outstanding..city players have done what their price tag has demanded and not much more though.

Kompany should be in ahead of Silva or Parker IMO.

Worst Young Player shortlist I've seen in years, Aguero is the stand-out candidate in that list.

Few keepers should be in there, Habsi should unquestionably be in there, ridiculously good keeper, Vorm, Krul and De Gea aswell, all have pulled of excellent save after excellent save all season long.

Welbeck shows purely that if you aren't in an established top 5 team, you have basically no chance at all.

Parker isn't having a bad season at all but the last couple months he's been below his best. Tiote should just be on the list, no question about that. Ba should as well, fantastic striker, while some people have been banging on about his lack of goals, only recently, his actual contribution has been right up there anyway, really excellent interplay with Cisse, without Ba Cisse and Arfa wouldn't have looked anywhere near as good.

Mata should be on the list as well, as always, joke lists in general, at least RVP is on there and they didn't make a mockery of that as well. Welbeck shouldn't be near it, while I really like Ox, he shouldn't either, he's barely played really, 466 minutes AOC has played and gets on the list.

Dempsey, and maybe Larsson should be on there as well, like others have said, no top 5, no chance of winning it.

Thing is it's a shortlist of 6 players and you've said it should include

Few keepers
Tiote
Ba
Mata
RvP
Dempsey
Maybe Larsson

So that's already more than six. You can't include everyone unless the format was changed to permit more than 6.

Also one thing to bear in mind PFA list gets voted for in January(?) which makes it even more strange that AOC was included, maybe the voting took place later this year.

What I guess I meant to say is, it should include who I said before at least a few people on those lists, not that the list should include everyone. But I'm fairly sure most people who named other people to be on the list all meant that as well. For me Hart, Silva, parker and Rooney shouldn't be on that list, however chances of top scorer at the league leaders not being included, slim to none, chances of not including one of the new to the league Spanish players, none, people dislike Chelsea more than Silva and Silva was to be fair, in good form up till January.

If the voting takes place in Jan, then AOC being on there is hilarious, he had a few really good England U21 performances before we finally saw him in the league, but an award based off a few **** internationals(because U21's are a joke in general) is madness.

It comes across as "hmmm, we always call Arsenal the youth side, so we've got to pick their latest prospect..." , which is what makes these awards a joke in most cases.

But he isn't though. He's "utterly ******* useless" going forwards, but he's not there for that..

Well he is, he is a midfielder. The lack of attacking play by Parker is shocking. Comparing him with Song at Arsenal who is not only better defensively he also has 14 assists.

Parker is so average.

Just because he's a midfielder doesn't mean he has to be great attacking wise. He's a work horse. There are plenty of attacking players to do that stuff, he works in a midfield full of people that are rather "Gung Ho".

I think he is well above average. Not world class, or anything like that - But I do think he's a very good player.

RvP and Aguero for me, fairly easy picks and I think there's a very good chance that they'll actually win this year (compared to say the farce last year where Bale won POTY but not YPOTY).

Walker named PFA Young player of the Year lol :o

EDIT: Apparently RVP has won the main award and the team of the season is;

---------------Hart---------------
Walker--Kompany--Coloccini--Baines
Silva---Parker---Y.Toure---Bale
----------RVP-------Rooney----------
