I've had a fun afternoon. Email came in from our haulier explaining the container didn't arrive at port on the 10th as expected, but has only discharged this morning. (

YMLU8532024 if you want to check for yourselves) This meant that getting the container in for tomorrow is impossible due to the mandatory 24-36 hours needed to process customs. To add insult to injury, there's a considerable shortage of haulage vehicles out of Southampton port meaning the first available haulage was next Thursday, 20th September...
HERE COMES THE GOOD NEWS.
After some considerable searching by the haulier and complaining (by me
), we've managed to secure a slot for delivery of the container on Friday at around 1pm. This is by no means set in stone considering the two delays the container has already suffered, but lets hope third time lucky shall we? Unfortunately it does mean a Monday delivery for the majority of you, but it's considerably better than getting it on the 21st! I had to hassle our logistics manager too to get it in on Friday, so yeah, I've done as much as I can to minimise the delay.
