PHANTEKS EVOLV X & P600S

The grey will be ok mate as it's a darkish gery.
Out of all the cases I've had the evolv is by the far best for build quality and the fan filters do a great job at keeping out as much dust as possible.
My main gripe with the old one was intake and outake cooling but this has been sorted along with a he'll of a lot other things Inc hiding cables,I'm not to keep on the back glass panel as it serves no point to me.
The vertical gpu mount is nice as well as I will be buying that when it's available.
I think mount is included with the case, you would just have to buy riser separately

They do look nice but too pricey to be popular I think. You can get fan with rgb lights for the price of halo. So it kinda takes away its main purpose... Save money on buying new fan and reuse the ones you have.

I think I'll be sticking with the stock fans as they are very good at their job.
Will have to have a think about the halos and see how it goes.
Building up my custom watercooling loop and will be installing a 360 rad in the roof and leave the front bare for airflow.

I used the non digital rgb halos on the prom m special edition I had, they go so well with the stock fans with the white blades, the colour just pops off of them.

They can also be daisy chained and synced to case with the phnateks adaptor cables and the case further can be synced to your motherboard with a mobo to case cable, the whole lot can then be synced in harmony and can all be controlled by the Asus aura or whatever software it is you use. (Providing your mobo has an rgb or digital addressable header of course)

That should save a few penny's :)
I like the look of the halos my put them in the build later on,anybody use these at all?.

how they look depends a lot on the fans used. Bequiet grooved blades provide such a visual impact but less glow/case illumination - had they been clear frosted , damn!

also noticed AORUS or Gigabyte Fusion isn't supported - noticed Digital Halo's were as well. found out lessor models or older models use 3 Pin with spacer and boards like X470 Aorus 7 use 3 pin close together .
I just plugged my Digital Halo 3 Pin Female header straight into the boards digital header ....

*******

looked at manual sorry

case uses the 3 pin with blank it seems, so older aorus/gigabyte boards would be fine

Older use 12v so probably not. DRGB needs 5V, only new boards have it.

Couldn't see any older boards using 12v . Their WRGB use either 12/5v via a jumper .
Only z370/x370/x299 have DRGB

X299 --ut had an odd connection
X370 says it can use 12v only. For x470 they changed it and can use either. So I wouldn't personally connect drgb to x370 but not sure if there is similar workaround like you say.

So the Hardware Canucks review is live....

Yay, great review, the only thing he was negative about was the sliding catch covers instead of rubber grommets, this would also be my only whinge from the first time i saw it as I prefer the original grommets as well, but other than that it's still the best case I've ever seen and has so many improvements.
