but thats intel.. we saying about amd 4400x2 and phenom 9600.... nothing to do with intel..no, it does... usually the newer the chip, the more it can do at a given speed. That's why a dual core E2140 can best a Pentium 4 *spit* 3ghz with HT...
even one of the E2140's cores will do whatever the pentium can do, faster, and when they reach the same speed, the gap increases...
It's called IPC, instructions per clock cycle.
