Phobias

Heights?
Flying?
Dentists
Balloons?
Buttons?

Slow exposure to the thing you fear is the only way to cure yourself.

I could explain in more detail if I knew what king of thing it was.

Ive got a phobia of eating fish, i would probably like the taste but just cant eat it. I think it stems from when i was very young i opened a metal bin on a very very hot summers day and there was a rotten fish complete with maggots at the bottom . The smell was enough to make me vomit.

So fish?

I should have guessed with 29 responses in such a short time that not all of them would be serious.... :)

My phobia is dying in a transport related accident, whether it be plane, boat, car or train.

I had a really bad car crash at 90mph two years ago and have not really gotten over it. I experienced the, 'it can happen to you' idea and so even if things are statistically unlikely, I now worry, 'it could happen to me again'....

I have no idea, it all happened so quick, but the next thing I knew, I woke up in hospital.

Fortunately, I only had severe whiplash, nothing more- they were concerned I had damaged my organs due to the speed, but the car held up well and I was ok..
