I was walking home in Bristol yesterday, and there were a group of phone boxes all in a line, trying to look hard. I didnt make eye to eye contact with them, just in case, but it was worrying. I remember the old innocent red phone boxes, they were just so friendly. Nowadays, they are all decked up in the latest gear and think they rule the streets. Sad state of affairs :(

I work for BT payphones (unfortunately), and we could really do with some of these vigilante kiosk down here. :D
I think this thread may well do the rounds at work .....

reminds me of a story I saw on the old Ceefax/Teletext service which was well known for grammar & spelling errors. It read:

'A skeleton has been found by a man, flying a kite on a cliff near Beachy Head'.

quite a find, I thought - I do hope he took photos. :D

I'm getting worried now, we have an old style red phone box in the 'beer garden' of my local, someone has already put a couple of its windows in though so maybe it will think twice before attacking innocent revellers. You have to admire its planning, moving into position months before it is ready to strike.
