I'm not sure how large a screen I would like, but all I can say is that as much as I love the iPhone the screen is far too small. Gaming and web browsing would be sooo much better with a bigger screen.

If I can touch the opposite corner of the screen with one hand Im fine - I just dont want a phone where I cant operate it easily - so thats bezel aswell as screen size and placement to consider - I guess 4"...

ps3ud0

I actually prefer the GS2/GN dimensions and perhaps more importantly weight, in my pocket. I was always more conscious with a Desire or iphone 4 when they were in my pocket, mainly due to the weight I think.

Whilst I'm very happy with the screen size on my Nexus, I wouldn't like to go any bigger. It's right on the limit for me to use one handed.

i voted 4.3, but i use an iPhone4.
the reason being, my thumb isnt long enough to reach over a much bigger screen when holding it one-handed, so any larger than that is and always will be too large.

I had a good play on a Galaxy Note today and while I was impressed with it from a browsing stand point it just felt a bit unnecessary overall. I also don't think I could live with it as a phone on a daily basis. However I think it would be interesting to own one especially if I got used to always having to use two hands to use it. I guess I'm just confused about what I think about it :p

I also had a good play with a Nokia Lumia 800, I found that it was pretty much spot on for one handed usage, similar to an iPhone in that respect. Really enjoyed using it as well, WP7 is certainly shaping up good.

My current phone is a Galaxy S II and most of them time I am comfortable with it but there is the odd occasion where I find using it with one hand slightly awkward, but this wouldn't put me off getting another phone of this size.

So,

5.3" - too big
4.3" - slightly awkward some times
3.7" - perfect for one handed usage but feels a little small when coming from a 4.3"
3.5" - as above

I decided to vote 4.3" on the poll as I am comfortable with the SGSII but anything larger would most likely be too big for one handed usage. However if someone asked me what would be my ideal screen size then I think it would be somewhere between 3.7"-4".

TL;DR 4.3" :o

4.5-4.7" for me :)

However, ideally I think the poll would be better for dimensions as obviously we all (or most of us anyway) would want a big screen and less bezel thus having 4.7" in the GS 2 casing or something similar, a bit like the mock ups of the GS 3.

Also mobiles are no longer used for just texting and phone calls, they are essentially mini laptops that many people even the "average joes" use for media entertainment now, so;

Bigger screen is great/better for:

- web browsing
- videos/photos
- games

The iphone screen size/dimensions are for women and "girlie men" :p

the note is lovely and the stylus is actually cool I seem to tuck it in my fingers and use an odd combination of thumbs fingers and stylus, only had it a few hours and it's a very fluid mix of controls.

also the extra precision (i have stupid fingers, as the robot devil would say) is good for letting you brows the web with a much lower zoom (smaller text so hard to hit links with fat fingers)

Used to think I would never go bigger than a 4" screen, but after having an S2 for more than a year I would happily go to 4.7", maybe even 5.3" if the phone and bezel were thin. It's like a TV, you get used to the size so quickly and then it no longer seems that big.

Phone screen size going bigger has coincided with my failing eye sight so I'm happy as I don't have to use my reading glasses to use my moby, Currently running a Monte Carlo.

Got a SGS2 at the moment and love it. iPhones feel a bit small now.

Had the Galaxy Tab 7" and used that for phone calls quite often. The reception and quality were great.

However it's definitely too big to use as your main phone. Reckon I could get used to the Samsung Note.

Such a nice device and whilst large it's quite slim. Think I'd take a fair bit of ribbing from friends though.
