PIC of your Notification Area / System Tray - NOW

if you generally have a lot of stuff open and a lot in quickstart and systray (i.e. you actually use your PC for more than benchmarks and doing 1 thing at a time) then having just 1 line deep is a lot more cluttered - your area for open programs is much smaller and just looks a bit naff to be honest.

all IMO of course.

Virtual Deskops like Gnome would be nice and solve this kind of problem :(

Vista is throwing a fit at me, Firewall, windows defender turned off and no AV, hence the bright orange thing.

Remove USB memory stick, WLM, Rainlendar, O&O Defrag, Gmail notifier, Avast anti-virus.

Don't mind too much stuff as long as its doing something, I hate things in my system tray if they don't need to be there lol :).

Actually now that widescreen monitors are becoming more prevalent, there is less need to use a 'deep' taskbar compared to before.

really? imo now more then ever you would use the deep taskbar because of the size of the monitors, can't imagine having one lin taskbar on a 24" but on a 17/19" then 1 line looks ok. Thats why i use deep taskbar and would have thought a lot of other people, not because you can fit more windows on it.

I see you downloading torrents :P

This is why Microsoft bought out a feature called 'Group similar taskbar buttons'.

you may want to edit that picture, have some respect for people without widescreens.
