Working on a stand for the new PC as I don't have sufficient room on my desk. It was on a cardboard box before. I'm currently making some feet for it. The rack behind the PC is to be removed.

That looks good but wouldn't a cabinet with drawers or something be more useful and do the same job?

It's pretty slim so drawers are out of the question unfortunately. It does have an access hole in the back to store all the cables, powerstrip hub etc so it's not completely redundant and does tidy things up considerably.

Also, I'm a bit anal about everything matching in my room!

The top has a rubberised surface. It quite literally will not budge unless you lift the whole PC up:

I do have some retaining brackets to fit at the back of the PC as well but I'm really not sure I'm going to need them now it's all in place.

Pretty certain that's not a joy. It involves having to be in London, through choice.

Okay... fair point. It softens the blow of being in London!

If I could find a job that pays reasonably well (I'm merely public sector ATM!) in Kent I'd keep away from London in a flash!
