[PIC_THREAD] Landscapes, Architecture, Seascapes

Yeah I didn't do any sharpening on the first one either and I forgot the last time I did a moon shot the sharpening really brought out the detail. If you look at mine on flickr on the first one it looks like theres lots of stars, not sure if they actually are stars though.
 
Yeah it's amazing how much detail can be brought out with the moon through sharpening, you can push it surprisingly far without signs of the typical negative effects that heavy sharpening brings to most other types of photography.

It's a shame I didn't catch it when it was lower to the horizon, it would make for more interesting shot.
 
Forgot about last nights moon. Managed to grab this shot hand held just before I went to bed. put the camera in Manual mode and the first settings I picked produced this shot. A major step forward to what i was getting several months ago and kind of feels like an achievement for me!
