Bought a 100mm macro late last year. Not used it much but I think it's going to be a big learning curve for me as i'm used to walking around with either a 17-50mm or a 300mm.
This guy has just taken up residence outside our kitchen door. Thankfully we rarely open it so he's undisturbed so far. Makes me want to splash out on a decent macro lens like a Minolta 100mm F2.8 - most likely from Japan. I took some with the mini beercan 35-70 F4, and some with the 50mm F1.7, both with +4 close up filter but was able to get slightly closer with the zoom. Was able to bump the shadows a bit, even though I shoot JPEG.
