aha nice, ordered a 70d earlier, will be my 1st dslr, big jump in i know but wife said she would buy so all good

been looking at macro, definitely something id like to get into, is that the IS USM lens or the standard?

70D is a cracking piece of kit. The lens is the non-L version of the 100mm macro:

New around £380, imported probably a lot less and they go for around £270 - £300 used on forums. One of the sharpest edge to edge Canon lens of there.
